Fiberglass Thermocouple Wire from Allied Wire and Cable has both a braided fiberglass jacket and braided fiberglass insulation. These combine together for excellent abrasion resistance and added flexibility. With a max operating temperature of 482°C, Fiberglass Thermocouple Wire can survive in a wide range of temperatures and is meant for general applications.
Suitable for use at normal air ambient temperatures where there is a possibility of a hot spot which might damage lower rated cables such as PVC or PFA We offer a wide variety of constructions from simple lapped and Fibreglass braided to stainless steel braided types in virtually all the thermocouple combinations

Carson's PTFE Insulated Thermocouple Wire possesses excellent resistance against abrasion, chemicals and moisture. It also resists nicking as well being flame retardant.
PTFE Insulated Thermocouple Wire can withstand high temperatures before reaching its melting point but does not possess such extreme protection against heat that would place it in a higher price bracket.

Thermocouple grade wire is wire that is used to make the sensing point (or probe part) of the thermocouple. Extension grade wire is only used to extend a thermocouple signal from a probe back to the instrument reading the signal.
